Sandra Mortensen is a retired therapist and graduate of the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She has more than 45 years of experience across hospital and private practice. Sandy owned and operated physical therapy clinics in Colorado, where she specialized in post-surgical and injury rehabilitation, as well as pain management. She is an experienced presenter and educator who has trained physical therapists and healthcare professionals throughout her career.

In episode 701 of the Fraternity Foodie Podcast, we find out why Sandy decided to dedicate her retirement to helping people prevent physical health problems before they happen, what's her secret to skiing and hiking at age 83, why college is the perfect time to build healthy habits, how much damage sedentary lifestyles can do (sitting in front of a computer all day), what is happening in the body during her "wake up your brain" exercise, why flexibility and balance is still important, the biggest misconceptions about fitness with college students, what is her routine each morning, and what habits college students should develop. Enjoy!
