Wait-and-See Parenting: When Doing Nothing Is the Best Move - 339

Author: Pam Howard February 4, 2025 Duration: 14:31

Wait-and-see parenting can feel risky.

You see your child struggling—whether it's with a tricky friendship, a frustrating homework assignment, or a new routine—and every instinct tells you to step in.

But sometimes, doing nothing is actually the best move.

Recently, my home phone stopped working for a couple of weeks and my home alarm system kept glitching. I figured I'd need to call someone to fix it, but...I just never got around to it.

Then, out of nowhere, everything started working again. No explanation. No intervention.

It made me realize how often we rush to fix things in our kids' lives when sometimes, things just need a little time to sort themselves out.

But how do you know when to step in and when to let things unfold? Tune in to this episode to find out!
