Mike Irr on Mountaintop Goals, Embracing Change and Life in the NBA

Mike Irr on Mountaintop Goals, Embracing Change and Life in the NBA

Author: Mike Robertson July 19, 2024 Duration: 1:09:34

What is life REALLY like in the NBA?

What are the pros and cons of being in that space?

And if you ever leave, what’s it like transitioning into the private training space?

If you’ve ever wondered about any of these questions, today’s guest is uniquely qualified to answer all of them!

Mike Irr is the owner of Alpha Athletic Development, a private training facility in Atlanta.

But prior to his time there, he also spent over a decade in the league – with stops in Chicago, Charlotte, Golden State, and Atlanta.

Oh – and don’t forget that short stint as a PT student at IFAST as well!

So in today’s episode, we’re not only going to look at what like if like in the NBA, but how to be successful both there and in the private sector!

If you’re a guard I want you to be strong, but I also need you to get by somebody on the court.

– Mike Irr
