Friday, Aug 14 - Comedian Nick Scopoletti

Author: I95 Rock August 14, 2026 Duration: 52:45
The boys welcome comedian Nick Scopoletti into the studio today. Nick is a hilarious stand-up comedian who also happens to be Lisa Lampanelli's podcast sidekick, so we're expecting some great stories, some brutally honest opinions, and hopefully a little dirt on Lisa. A huge chunk of a Danbury church collapsed on West Street yesterday, and the boys have all the details on what happened, including the latest from firefighters and city officials. Thankfully, there were no reported injuries. A Wisconsin store got a very strange surprise when a box of old games turned out to contain nearly 100 copies of an unknown variant of the original Nintendo's Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt. Some tiny details on the cartridges are different from every other known released version, which could make these games surprisingly valuable to collectors. Meanwhile, a school in Texas is going viral over a bizarre dress code controversy involving the marching band. Female band members were reportedly asked to perform a so-called "jump test" to make sure their undergarments "hold firmly" enough. The band director later clarified that the test was supposed to be something students performed privately on their own, but that's not exactly stopping the internet from having a field day with this one. Apparently, Europeans can be just as dense as Americans. Searches for eye injuries skyrocketed following Wednesday's solar eclipse in Western Europe, despite all the warnings about looking directly at the sun. A bride in the U.K. also made quite an entrance at her wedding by riding her favorite cow down the aisle. She says it's something she's wanted to do since she was 10 years old. The bride and her husband are both farmers, so I guess the cow was technically family. An 8-year-old Pennsylvania boy caught a piranha while fishing with his dad. Experts believe it was probably someone's pet that was released into the water after getting too big. And finally, a new documentary will feature a long-lost 1971 radio interview with Billy Joel, recorded around the release of his first album. Even back then, Billy apparently wasn't afraid to speak his mind—during the interview, he reportedly called Madison Square Garden a rip-off.
