Quick Tip: Cheryl's #1 for the Clean

Quick Tip: Cheryl's #1 for the Clean

Author: USA Weightlifting April 14, 2022 Duration: 31:44
We have yet another Quick Tip for you today, this time for the clean. Whereas with our last quick tip on the snatch we talked about confirming the beginning of the lift; the start position, today for the clean we’re talking about ensuring that you’re getting to the end of the lift from extension most efficiently and effectively; and this is zoning in the pull under portion of the lift. In this episode we discuss how there is a requisite level of mobility to be able to do this optimally, but also how it is all about timing.

Additionally, we reason why we believe you should NOT move your elbows “high and to the outside”, AND why you should STOP worrying about and trying to move your elbows around fast. Enjoy the show!
