About ARUMUN Radio
ARUMUN Radio is the voice of a small but proud community - the Aromanians, a Romance-speaking people of the southern Balkans. The station belongs to arumun.com, a Tirana-based media project run by the Harriet Martineau Association and funded by Romania's Department for Romanians Everywhere.
Music on the stream leans on Balkan folklore and older favourites, but radio is only one part of the project. The website around it publishes news, interviews, history pieces and an entire section devoted to the Aromanian dialect, making it one of the very few media outlets keeping that language in daily use.
The broadcast is online-only, streamed through Zeno.FM and playable straight from the arumun.com homepage. For Aromanian speakers scattered across Albania, the Balkans and the diaspora, it offers something no big station can - a broadcast in their own tongue.
