107.3 HFM Radio

107.3 HFM is the community radio voice of Perth's south-eastern suburbs, on air from studios in Gosnells since 26 January 1998. Broadcasting as 6HFM on 107.3 MHz, it covers Gosnells, Canning, Armadale and Serpentine-Jarrahdale - a licence area of the sort commercial stations rarely chase.

The station launched from Orchard Avenue in Armadale on 93.7 FM and moved to 107.3 in 2002, the year Nova 93.7 claimed the old frequency for metropolitan Perth. Live internet streaming followed in 2007, and the programming has stayed true to community radio ideals: locally produced music and information shows, run largely by volunteers. Its hip-hop program Beats, Rhymes and Life took out Best Program - Music at the 2022 CBAA Awards.

English-language and close to its listeners, HFM keeps a free live stream running online - an easy community radio listen for Perth's south-east and anyone curious what the city's outer suburbs sound like.
