Island FM 88, on air as Bay Islands Radio, is the community radio voice of Queensland's Southern Moreton Bay Islands - the ferry-linked island communities of Russell, Macleay, Lamb and their neighbours just off Brisbane. For islanders, radio here is genuinely local: the population crosses water for everything else, but the station broadcasts from among them.

The sound is adult contemporary with a classic hits heart - Split Enz turning up on the stream tells the story - leaning to the 70s, 80s and 90s rather than chasing today's chart. As a community broadcaster, it wraps the music in local notices, island news and volunteer voices from the bayside settlements.
