2CBD

Radio 2CBD FM calls itself the Voice of the Highlands, and the title is literal: it is the only radio station based in Glen Innes, the New England granite-belt town in northern New South Wales. Broadcasting on 105.9 FM in town and 91.1 in Deepwater, the not-for-profit community station serves a district that would otherwise have no local voice on the dial.

The programming follows the community pattern with highland character: a program grid run by local volunteers, council interviews and a Heart of Glen Innes feature keeping civic life on air, podcasts of past shows, community announcements and music submitted directly by artists for consideration. The station acknowledges the Ngoorabul people as traditional custodians of the country it broadcasts from.

English-language and streaming worldwide through its website and the Community Radio Plus app, 2CBD keeps the Highlands within earshot of itself - an easy New England community web radio listen online, from the granite country to anywhere.
