ABC Shepparton

ABC Shepparton - 3GVR on the licence - is the ABC Local Radio station for Victoria's Goulburn Valley, broadcasting on 97.7 FM from Shepparton on a frequency the national broadcaster has used locally since around 2006.

The local heart of the day is breakfast from 6.30 to 9am on weekdays; the rest of the schedule draws on the ABC's statewide and national programming, with repeaters carrying the signal to Eildon, Alexandra and Mansfield in the hills.

The station serves orchard and dairy country - the food bowl that grows a remarkable share of Australia's fruit - plus the snowfield gateway towns upstream, and flood seasons along the Goulburn and Broken rivers make its news bulletins essential listening. Free to stream online, it makes an easy local news web radio listen - the Goulburn Valley's ABC voice, from Shepparton's orchards to anywhere in the world.
