Yass FM 100.3

Yass FM 100.3, call sign 2YAS, is the community radio station of Yass, the country town an hour up the highway from Canberra, in the Southern Tablelands of New South Wales. Run by local volunteers, it serves the Yass Valley with the classic community mix: local music and talk, community news, local sport, and the events and notices that keep a small town connected.

Yass has a curious place in history - it was nearly the site of the national capital before Canberra was chosen, and the town keeps its quiet country pride - the district is fine-wool merino country, among the best in the world. The station is its voice on the dial, from the farm gates to the main street. Yass FM streams live online, so the valley can be heard from Canberra, Sydney or anywhere further away.
