3CR 855 AM

3CR 855 AM was Melbourne's first community radio station licensed, going to full operation on 3 July 1976, and five decades on it remains what it began as: a people-powered broadcaster owned by the Community Radio Federation, with studios in Fitzroy and more than 400 volunteers presenting over 130 programs.

The programming leans talk and purpose - trade union and workplace shows, environmental campaigns, Indigenous programming and community language broadcasts - with music filling the gaps. Special broadcasts mark the days that matter to its audience, from Invasion Day to International Women's Day, carrying the station's activist tradition into each year.

English-language and free to stream online and via DAB+ digital, 3CR keeps Melbourne's community voices within reach worldwide - volunteer-run, locally rooted radio to listen online, around the clock and any day of the week.
