ABC Esperance

ABC Esperance is the Esperance voice of the ABC Goldfields-Esperance service, a regional network rooted in one of Western Australia's oldest licences: 6GF went to air from Kalgoorlie's Hannan Street post office on 10 December 1936. Esperance gained its own transmitter, 6ED on 837 AM, in 1966.

The station serves the towns of the Goldfields and the far south-east - Kalgoorlie, Coolgardie, Kambalda, Norseman and Esperance - with the ABC Local talk pattern of local breakfast and news, shifting to a relay of ABC Perth when local programming rests. For a region of mines, pastoral stations and remote coastline, that voice matters.

English-language and free through the ABC listen app and live web stream, ABC Esperance keeps WA's south-east corner connected - an easy remote-region radio listen online, from Cape Le Grand and the Recherche coast to anywhere in the world, for farmers, fishermen, miners and coastal locals alike.
