Chilli 90.1 FM

Chilli 90.1 FM is the hit music station of Launceston and northern Tasmania - the local voice of the Hit Network family on the island. The playlist is current pop and chart hits - the station brands itself with a chilli pepper, a joke about warmth in a state known for cold winters - but the station is very much local: breakfast with Launceston presenters, news and weather for the north of the state, and the contests that keep Tasmanian listeners talking.

Launceston, on the Tamar River, is the second city of Tasmania and a place with its own strong identity - the north watches Hobart with a healthy rivalry, and Chilli is the northern answer on the radio. The 90.1 signal covers the city and the Tamar valley, and the live online stream carries the station to the mainland and beyond, including the many Tasmanians living interstate.
