5DDD Three D Radio 93.7 FM

Three D Radio - 5DDD on 93.7 FM - is the alternative community station of Adelaide, volunteer-run and on air since 1979. The music policy is proudly non-commercial: alternative, independent and experimental sounds, with a special commitment to local South Australian music - the station has long held a quota for local content, giving Adelaide bands their first airplay.

Everything you hear is chosen by the volunteer presenter in the studio at that moment, which makes the schedule a genuine journey through the tastes of its community - punk next to ambient, local demos next to world music. The name comes from its original call sign, and the three Ds have been a fixture of the Adelaide dial for over four decades. Funded by its listeners, Three D Radio streams live online, so the Adelaide underground can be heard anywhere in the world.
