Sweet FM - Radio 97.1 Sweet FM Inc. to give it its full name - is a volunteer community station in Home Hill, Queensland, serving the Burdekin region around the clock since 28 September 1999. The signal goes out from a transmitter on Mt. Inkerman, with the studio tucked into the old Home Hill Court House building on Eighth Avenue.

Every volunteer presenter chooses their own music, kept within the station's Tourist Radio policy at an 80/20 music-to-talk ratio - so the sound is genuinely personal rather than network-programmed, and easy-listening pop sits beside whatever each host loves best.

Where Sweet FM really earns its keep is in cyclone season: volunteers stayed live to air through Cyclones Yasi in 2011, Debbie in 2017 and Kirrily in 2024, plus the flooding that followed, keeping listeners up to date as information came to hand.
