Apple 98.5 FM

Apple 98.5 FM is the volunteer-run community station of Bacchus Marsh and the wider Moorabool Shire in Victoria - the voice of Moorabool, as its own slogan puts it. Broadcasting on 98.5, it survives on sponsors, fundraising dances and the kind of committee volunteers every community station needs.

The programme names tell you the range: Rock 'N' Breakfast to start the day, Metal For The Masses, Jazz with Frank, Movie Metropolis, Radio KAOS and a show aimed at the 55 Plus crowd - a genuinely local mix no network would ever schedule.

Local sport matters too: the station broadcasts the Bacchus Marsh Cobras against the Darley Devils, a rivalry it bills as the big one once the NRL State of Origin wraps up. English-language and free to stream online, Apple FM makes an easy community web radio listen - small-town Victoria radio with its own request line, for the shire and for the world.
