About 2BOB FM
2BOB FM - 2BOB Radio 104.7 to its listeners - is the community station of Taree and the Manning Valley on the New South Wales Mid-North Coast, run as a listener-supported cooperative with volunteers and its own radio training courses.
The programme grid is gloriously wide: The Blues Show, Jazzamatazz, Roots n Reggae, World Beat, The Electro Show, a country Dude Ranch hour and the wonderfully named 2-B-Bob-a-Lula, plus a Youth Radio crew making shows of their own.
Five ethnic programs - Greek, Filipino, French, Serbian and Russian - keep the valley's migrant communities on air, 2Bob Raves rounds up local events three times a day, and the station's Envirofair and Multicultural Festival fills the calendar. Free to stream online, 2BOB makes an easy community web radio listen - genuine small-station variety, from the valley to anywhere on the planet.
