Radio Blue Mountains 89.1 FM - the voice, heart and soul of the Blue Mountains, in its own words - has served the mountain communities from a studio in Katoomba since 1987, broadcasting around the clock to some 90,000 people across the peaks and a wider audience online.

The station is built the classic community way: presenters pay membership fees, sausage sizzles outside the local Bunnings raise funds, local businesses sponsor, and the CBAA Community Radio Network fills the overnight hours from 10pm.

Local shows carry the personality - Sounds From The Underground interviews Australian indie figures like Greg Atkinson of Big Heavy Stuff and Ups and Downs, alongside podcasts, a live music guide and a deep programme archive.
