About Outer Rim
Outer Rim takes its name from the far edge of the Star Wars galaxy, and the branding fits: this is an online techno radio for the outer limits - hard, dark, driving sounds rather than chart dance, streaming around the clock with new mixes premiering on a regular rhythm.
The programme is built from DJ mixes and podcast-style shows. Residents and guests record sets that premiere on the station and then live on as episodes - series like Dirty Does Outer Rim have run to dozens of instalments, with guest selectors from the underground techno scene. The premiere-then-archive rhythm keeps the feed fresh without a big staff. The tracklists lean heavy: think KRTM, Viper Diva and Ghost In The Machine territory.
The community hangs out where internet radio communities live now - Discord, Twitch, Mixcloud, SoundCloud and YouTube, all linked from outerrim.tv. New shows debut on the stream and stay archived on Mixcloud, so nothing is lost if you miss the premiere.
