Lav Radio

Lav Radio holds a small but proud title: it was the first internet radio of Armenia. Created in August 2012 and broadcasting regularly since 1 September of that year, it quickly took the lead among the online stations of the country. The name says it all - lav means good in Armenian, and the station presents itself as the best radio of all.

The project runs two channels: Lav Radio plays only the best Armenian hits, while Lav Radio Mix is reserved for international ones. Both broadcast twenty-four hours a day without interruptions and, as the station proudly notes, without advertising. An online chat on its site lets listeners talk with each other while the music plays, giving the station the feel of a small community rather than a faceless stream. More than a decade on, the formula has not changed: two channels, no ads, music all day, and many of the first listeners still tuning in.
