2SM - Supernetwork 1269 AM

2SM on 1269 AM is one of the storied call signs of Sydney radio. In the 1970s the station ruled the airwaves with its More Music format and the famous 2SM Rocktober promotions, defining what Top 40 radio sounded like in Australia. Those were the years when 2SM DJs were celebrities and the station set the pop agenda of the country and staged record-breaking free concerts in the Domain.

Today 2SM heads the Supernetwork, a group of regional AM stations across New South Wales and Queensland that share its programming: talk shows through the day, news, and music blocks that keep the memory of the glory years alive. The station streams live online, so listeners who grew up with 2SM - or discovered it since - can hear 1269 from anywhere. The Supernetwork keeps regional listeners on the same schedule, so a talk show from Sydney is heard from the Queensland border down to the Murray.
