3GDR Golden Days Radio 95.7 FM

Golden Days Radio - 3GDR on 95.7 FM - is the Melbourne community station made for senior listeners. The music comes from the golden days: the songs of the 1920s through the 50s, big band and swing, the dance orchestras and the crooners that defined the era before rock and roll. For the older audience of Melbourne it is not nostalgia programming - it is simply their music, played by people who love it.

The station is run by volunteers and survives on listener support, a community service as much as a broadcaster: companionship on the dial for people who remember these songs the first time around. Golden Days Radio streams live online and has its own simple mobile app, which has given it a second audience far from Melbourne - anyone, anywhere, who prefers the big bands to the charts.
