Lamp Radio

Lamp Radio is the broadcast arm of LAMP - the Local Australian Music Platform - a not-for-profit registered charity with a clear mission: shining a light on Australian music. In a radio landscape full of old hits and international imports, LAMP champions the music being made by Australian artists today, from emerging names to established ones, in curated playlists that stream fresh local music twenty-four hours a day.

The idea is practical as well as idealistic: LAMP playlists are designed for public playback, so a shop, cafe or workplace can support homegrown talent simply by leaving the stream on. The platform runs on donations, grants and voluntary subscriptions, with the money going back into curation and promotion of the artists. For anyone who wants to hear what Australia is making right now, Lamp Radio is the direct line.
