3UGE UGFM - Upper Goulburn Community Radio 106.9 FM

UGFM - Upper Goulburn Community Radio on 106.9 FM - serves the Murrindindi Shire of Victoria, the hill country around Alexandra, Yea and Marysville. It is a volunteer community station with a serious reputation: during the Black Saturday bushfires of 2009, UGFM stayed on air through the disaster, providing life-saving local information when the big networks could not reach the valleys - work that earned the station formal recognition afterwards.

That emergency role has never left: fire and flood coverage sits beside the everyday mix of local music, talk and community notices. For the scattered townships of the Upper Goulburn, the station is the local wire, heard in the shops and the utes of the high country. UGFM streams live online, so the community radio of the high country can be heard from Melbourne or anywhere further afield.
