Triple M Melbourne

Triple M Melbourne on 105.1 FM carries a landmark in Australian broadcasting: it launched on 11 July 1980 as EON FM, the country's first commercial FM station, before converting to the Triple M brand on the 3MMM callsign in November 1988 and settling on its current frequency.

Now the flagship of Southern Cross Austereo's rock network, sharing a licence with sister station Fox FM, it programs active rock for an 18-54 audience from a 56 kW signal across Melbourne. Its AFL football calls are among the most recognisable in the game, part of the Triple M network's weekend wall-to-wall coverage.

English-language and streaming free online, 105.1 keeps Melbourne's rock institution within reach of locals, footy fans and expats - an easy live web radio listen online, from the birthplace of Australian FM to anywhere in the world, more than four decades after its first transmission.
