Radio KLFM 96.5 & 106.3 FM

Radio KLFM is the live and local community station of Central Victoria, heard on 96.5 FM in Bendigo and 106.3 in Castlemaine. On air since 1989, it is a registered charity run by volunteers, made for listeners over fifty: the best music from the 50s through the 80s, local news and community announcements, with no government funding and no commercial owner.

The schedule has room for real traditions: American Top 40 with Casey Kasem goes to air on Saturdays, country and jazz blocks fill the evenings, and the station serves as the official emergency broadcaster for the region when fire or flood threatens - a serious duty in a region that knows both. The volunteer studios are on Coach Street in Golden Square, Bendigo. KLFM is live from morning to midnight, and its online stream carries Central Victoria radio to listeners anywhere in the world.
