Djerdan Poetry Radio

Djerdan Poetry Radio is the internet station of Vladimir Bera, self-described as internet roots radio with a poetic heart. The name is well chosen: djerdan is the Serbian word for a string of pearls, and the station strings together folk, blues, country, Americana, indie-folk, singer-songwriter material and bluegrass like beads on a single thread.

The music policy leans toward the songwriter's craft - songs where the words carry real weight - alongside jazz-tinged guitar instrumentals when the mood fits. A classical line about music being the greatest good mortals know sits at the head of the station's page, and the programming honours the sentiment.

English-language and streaming free around the clock, Djerdan makes an easy roots web radio listen online - one continuous thread of songs and poetry for listeners anywhere in the world who still believe that lyrics matter as much as melodies.
