ABC Wimmera

ABC Wimmera is the ABC's local service for Victoria's west - the wheat and barley country centred on Horsham and stretching across Donald, Longerenong, Nhill and the little Mallee towns beyond. In a region where the harvest forecast matters more than the city news cycle, the station earns its place daily.

The programming mixes locally presented news and talk with the rural backbone ABC country listeners rely on: the Victorian Country Hour, weather and seasonal information, and emergency broadcasting when fire danger or floods threaten the district - the reason many Wimmera households keep a radio switched on at all.

English-language and free through the ABC listen app, smart speakers and the live web stream, the station keeps the grain belt connected - an easy western Victorian news-and-talk web radio listen online, from the Wimmera plains to anywhere in the wider world.
